Authors who publish with the JFR: Journal of Finance and Reporting agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain the copyright to their articles and grant JFR the right of first publication.
  2. Published articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).
  3. Under this license, users are permitted to:
    • Copy and redistribute the published material in any medium or format;
    • Remix, transform, and build upon the material; and
    • Use the material for both noncommercial and commercial purposes.
  4. Users must provide appropriate credit to the authors, acknowledge JFR as the original publisher, include the article citation, indicate whether changes were made, and provide information about the applicable license.
  5. Any adaptation, modification, or derivative work must be distributed under the same CC BY-SA 4.0 license or another license officially recognized as compatible.
  6. The license does not permit users to imply that the authors or JFR endorse a particular reuse, adaptation, product, organization, or activity.
  7. Authors may enter into additional, nonexclusive agreements for the distribution of the published version of their articles, including deposit in institutional repositories, publication in books, or distribution through personal and academic websites, provided that the original publication in JFR is properly acknowledged.
  8. Authors are permitted and encouraged to share their manuscripts before and during the submission process, as such sharing may support scholarly exchange and increase the visibility of their work.
  9. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted tables, figures, images, instruments, datasets, or other third-party materials that are not covered by the article’s Creative Commons license.
  10. Third-party materials included in an article may be subject to separate copyright or licensing terms. Users are responsible for reviewing the relevant credit lines and obtaining permission from the copyright holder when required.

By submitting and publishing an article in JFR, authors confirm that they understand and accept this copyright and licensing policy.
