Archiving Policy
ZICONS: Zawiyah International Conference on Sharia and Legal Studies (Proceedings Journal) implements a digital archiving system to ensure the long-term availability and preservation of all published content. All articles published in this proceedings journal are stored and maintained through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), which functions as a long-term electronic backup mechanism. Information regarding this preservation system can be accessed through the Publisher Manifest.
The PKP PN is developed by the Public Knowledge Project as a digital preservation network for journals using the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. By utilizing LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) technology, this system enables secure and distributed storage, provides permanent access, and ensures that all content remains authentic and consistent with its original published version. The PKP PN also offers protection for journals that are not yet affiliated with other digital archiving services such as CLOCKSS or Portico, thereby ensuring the sustainability of long-term access to published content.
