The Strategy of the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) in Preventing Early Marriage in Urban Communities

Abstract

This study aims to identify the strategies of one of the Religious Affairs Offices in Yogyakarta City in preventing early marriage in its area. This empirical, qualitative, legal research was conducted through observations and interviews with informants, including the Head of the Religious Affairs Office (KUA), officials, including counselors. The findings revealed that they used legal and sociological strategies to raise awareness of the dangers of early marriage among urban communities.
